Our Mission
Our mission is to empower women involved in all sectors of agriculture through education, collaboration, and networking, to ensure the success of farms and ranches across the region.
Our History
The annual Women Stepping Forward for Agriculture (WSFA) conference has a long history in Montana. The first conference was held in 2001 in Great Falls and the event has been held annually across the state.
Every year, a group of women leaders from across Montana volunteer for the WSFA steering committee that organizes and hosts the annual conference. In past years the USDA has taken the lead in organizing the conference, however in 2015 a group of women agricultural leaders have stepped up to take over the WSFA conference. This group of women, who represent many of the major ag organizations in the state, have plans to make WSFA one of the premier women’s agriculture conferences in Montana.
WSFA is a special project of our fiscal sponsor, The Billings Community Foundation.
